Why

Reddit ranks, and r/ObsidianMD is where people ask the question our product
answers.

Not a launch post

A single announcement reads as an advert and is treated as one. The value is in
answering the collaboration and sync questions that come up anyway — honestly,
including when the answer is a competitor.

That last part is not modesty, it is what makes the rest credible, and it is
what docs/positioning.md already requires: "they are broader, we are
private."

Constraints

Disclose the affiliation every time.
Read the subreddit's self-promotion rules before the first post.
Never "open source", never "audited". The licence is PolyForm Shield 1.0.0 for
the plugin, proprietary for the server, and that will be checked.

Measurement

This is a slow item with no clean attribution. Judge it on referred traffic and
on whether the threads rank, not on upvotes.
