Why

r/netsec is where the primary market reads, and it has the highest moderation
bar of any security subreddit. Vendor marketing is removed, and accounts with
no prior history draw the most moderator attention.

The consequence is a scheduling one: participation has to start months before
the post that matters. That makes this a now task even though every announcement
is held until the launch gates close.

What to do

Open the account and start answering questions — honestly, including when the
answer is a competitor or "don't use a plugin for that". Disclose the affiliation
in plain words every time it is relevant.

When the security explainer is written, submit that, not the product. Content
that performs there is original research, CVE analysis, incident write-ups and
tool comparisons with genuine technical depth.

Same pattern, lower intensity, for r/selfhosted and r/cybersecurity.

Constraints

Answer the question fully before mentioning anything you built, and keep
the mention to two or three sentences. A long pitch reads as an advertisement
because it is one.
Never "open source" — the plugin is source-available under PolyForm Shield
1.0.0 and the server is proprietary. Never "audited", never "zero knowledge",
never "we store no metadata".
iOS is untested on a device. "Desktop and Android; iOS should work — it is
the same JavaScript — but we have not tested it on a device yet."
