Why

Neither direct competitor has any social presence — Relay (209,229 downloads) has
a Discord, a forum thread and a release-notes page; Peerdraft has a Discord. So
social is not where this market is, and this issue is defensive registration
plus a place links resolve to, not a growth channel.

The names are free today. They will not stay free if the product works.

What to do

Reserve nectenda on Bluesky, Mastodon, X, Reddit and YouTube. Publish bios and
art so the accounts are not dead shells. Then mirror the changelog and little
else.

Two choices worth making deliberately rather than by default:

Use nectenda.com as the Bluesky handle, via a _atproto DNS TXT record.
A domain-verified handle is a free credibility signal and reads better than
nectenda.bsky.social to an audience that knows what it means.
Put the Mastodon account on infosec.exchange, not mastodon.social. On
Mastodon the instance is the audience, and infosec.exchange is where the
market we are selling to already is.

Constraints

Voice, from site/content/landing.mjs: sentence case throughout, no
exclamation marks, success stated as fact.
Bios at each platform's character limit. Never "open source", never "audited",
never "zero knowledge" (docs/positioning.md).
Never use the Obsidian logo in any avatar, banner or post image. Trademark
misuse gets a plugin removed from the directory, which is our distribution.
No claim of users, customers or revenue — there are none.
Operator of record is Nerchure Ltd where a platform requires a legal name.
